ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT
GRIP’s Alumni Engagement ensures that the transformation begun inside prison is sustained throughout the years of incarceration and continues in the free world.

A Support Network for Reentry
Many GRIP alumni who’ve come home contribute to programs and support others in navigating reentry, employment, and continued personal growth.

At GRIP’s first annual Walk-a-thon in August 2026, GRIP alumni, survivors, staff, and supporters gathered at Lake Merritt in Oakland to connect GRIP Peacemakers with supporters to highlight transformative programming. Events like these reaffirm our commitment to community engagement and to continually growing our networks of support.

Circle of Love
Circle of Love is a space for GRIP alumni to share, process, and debrief life’s events after incarceration. It’s a time to connect, be in community, and support one another—it’s for us, by us, and about us, a dedicated time for all GRIP alumni who wish or need to keep their circle going to continue their Tribal Process.
