Andres Rodriguez’s life story is a compelling testament to the transformative power of resilience and dedicated support. Once a youth offender with 24 years of incarceration, Andres’ trajectory changed profoundly in 2016 after participating in GRIP. Recognized for his potential and dedication, he was handpicked by the founder of GRIP, Jacques Verduin, to serve as a facilitator. This opportunity was the catalyst for Andres’s profound journey of growth and service, leading him through roles as a prison coordinator and Area Lead, culminating in his current position as Regional Program Manager for the GRIP Training Institute.
In his role, Andres oversees the implementation of rehabilitative programs at ASP Avenal and SATF Corcoran, ensuring they deliver healing and transformative opportunities for those seeking a new path. He remains deeply engaged with the participants and facilitates sessions in both English and Spanish to create an inclusive and empowering environment. Informed by his own experiences, Andres is driven to act as an Agent of Change. He is dedicated to advocating for a more compassionate and effective criminal justice system, embodying the belief that individual transformation can indeed inspire collective change.
