Rooted in restorative justice principles, GRIP’s Mountain Road survivor engagement program honors poet Antonio Machado’s image of “making the road while walking” when the path forward may be uncertain.

✔️ Mutual Support
Survivors gather monthly for support, healing, and community, and may choose to participate in restorative dialogues inside prisons. 

✔️ Healing Dialogues
These carefully prepared conversations provide opportunities to share experiences, foster healing, and support accountability of those who’ve caused harm. Survivor choice, safety, and readiness are always prioritized.

✔️ Coalition Building
Survivors are also invited to join other GRIP community members for a yearly Lobby Day in Sacramento and other advocacy efforts to advance transformative justice.
