GRIP Faciliator
Sunil Joseph
In December 2018, Sunil Joseph was invited to visit a GRIP class in San Quentin. During the class, he was deeply touched by the humanity and compassion in the room as the men shared their life stories. This was a transformative moment for Sunil. When the group invited him to come back to their next class, Sunil gratefully accepted and became a part of the group till they finished their program in 2019. Sunil formally joined GRIP as a Trainee Facilitator in 2019 and completed his training in 2022 to become a Certified GRIP Facilitator. Sunil is also a certified Mindfulness instructor and leads a weekly online meditation class. He also teaches Nonviolent Communication (NVC) classes and offers coaching based on the principles of NVC. Sunil completed a Masters in Computer Science and has 25 years of software development experience. Sunil is grateful to be a member of the GRIP organization where he gets to support his students in their transformation, growth, and healing by teaching a curriculum grounded in restorative justice.
