Eden serves as Deputy Director of Finance and Operations at GRIP Training Institute. GRIP Training Institute’s mission is especially compelling to her because it aligns with her values of mindfulness, empathy, resilience, and personal evolution. Eden is a staunch believer in both restorative justice and the inherent goodness of the human spirit, and she loves that GRIP Training Institute equips incarcerated people with the compassion, accountability, and perspective to radically shift the course of their lives. Eden has worked in the nonprofit field for over 15 years. Prior to her role at GRIP, Eden served as Head of Finance for Mindful Schools, an organization that taught thousands of educators skills in mindfulness and socio-emotional learning. Eden also worked as Chief Operating Officer at Mercy Beyond Borders, an organization that forges ways for women and girls in extreme poverty in Africa and Haiti to learn, connect, and lead. Eden is a Bay Area native and holds a BS in Business Administration for California State University, East Bay. When she isn’t head down in spreadsheets, you can typically find Eden chasing after her kids with her husband or getting lost in a book.
